About Patricia

Patricia Carl cares about helping people feel good about themselves and the work they do each day.  When you feel good about yourself, your performance at work and your general level of happiness rises.   

Patricia started her career as a therapist and using what she gained in listening to, encouraging and guiding her clients, she became a successful HR executive, managing teams for global Fortune 500 and private equity backed companies. 

Today, Patricia works as a consultant and speaker. The company she founded, Highland Performance Solutions, works with leaders, teams and organizations to unlock potential and drive organizational performance. This comes from sustaining a personalized approach that embraces the whole person in the workplace. Patricia and her firm help leaders create thriving, dynamic, engaging cultures where people feel valued and motivated to do their best work.   

As a consultant and coach, Patricia specializes in Personalized Leadership – using the understanding of intrinsic motivation and behavior to ignite and unleash high-performing teams and organizations. She holds deep expertise and experience working with the C-Suite, and has coached clients at organizations such as Microsoft, Target Corporation, Wintrust Financial, Fresh Factory, Acorn Health, Facebook, Deloitte and Accenture.  

Patricia is certified in Hogan Leadership Series, Human Performance Improvement: Association for Talent Development, Situational Leadership: Center for Leadership Studies, Leadership Effectiveness Analysis and Individual Directions Inventory: Management Resource Group). She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. 

As a thought leader, Patricia’s insights have been featured in publications such as Forbes, Harvard Business Review, ATD and Entrepreneur Magazine, among others. She is currently writing a book on Personalized Leadership. 

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family pursuing new adventures—whether that be running with the bulls in Pamplona, living in Scandinavia or night safaris in South Africa.
