I believe the “personal” and “professional” identities we separate in ourselves are false constructs. Whether we’re in a meeting, at the dinner table, or riding a bike – we take all of ourselves with us, everywhere.

In my career as a Chief Human Resources Officer, I observed that leaders often sideline humanity to the detriment of themselves, their teams, and their organizations. As a Personalized Leadership expert, I’m on a mission to change that. Today, I work with leaders and their teams to harness the power of individuality to tap into the best people have to give and empower performances that define careers and align business trajectories.

Working with others requires finesse and a willingness to listen.

Being able to listen with empathy, put yourself in another’s shoes, and support people in the process of achieving their best lives is critical to creating a dynamic, motivated, high-performing team.  

Patricia Carl started her business career as a practicing therapist, which is likely where she developed a genuine curiosity about people. That grew into an instinct for uncovering peoples’ true drivers and strengths and then helping them to leverage these to achieve the personal and professional success they seek.

Her deep sensitivity led her to become an HR executive, managing teams for Fortune 500 and private equity backed companies. Employees across the world have been touched by her methods and her incisive ability to figure out what people really need to be their best.

Today, she and her team of highly-trained consultants at Highland Performance Solutions work with leaders, teams and organizations to unlock potential and drive organizational performance. This comes from sustaining a personalized approach that embraces the whole person in the workplace. Patricia helps leaders to create thriving, dynamic, engaging cultures where people feel valued and motivated to do their best work.  

Patricia’s gift is in long-term team development, including the development of leadership teams.
